Membership CommitteeThe Membership Committee works to recruit new members for the Children's Literature Association and to retain the organization's current members. The committee coordinates with the ChLA conference host each year in organizing the annual “Building an Academic Career in Children’s Literature” panel for the ChLA conference. The committee coordinates with the ChLA conference host each year in organizing the New Members portion of the welcoming reception of the annual ChLA Conference. Composition of the Committee:The Membership Committee consists of at least five members and a chair appointed by the President with the approval of the Executive Board for terms of three years. Committee members ideally should represent geographical and other diversity.
